Tonya
This is the friend who was the source of inspiration for the “Oh, Who Are The People In Your Neighborhood“ post series.
Our story goes…
When I was in first grade my parents put up our current house for rent, purchased a house a few miles away, and we all moved midway through the school year. Some years later when I was in fourth grade, my parents decided to sell our current house and move back into our original house. Yeah, we were weird like that. Anyway, the way the boundary lines were marked for our school district at that time allowed me to continue going to the same elementary school, despite moving (again).
In fifth grade there was “the new girl”. You know how that goes. You go to school year after year with the same kids and when someone new moves into the neighborhood. It’s big news.

Oh, Who Are The People In Your Neighborhood?
I bet 95% of you thought of Sesame Street when you saw the title.
Yep. You got it. You’ve correctly named the tune that goes:
Oh, who are the people in your neighborhood?
In your neighborhood?
In your neighborhood?
Say, who are the people in your neighborhood?
The people that you meet each day
When I migrated to WordPress I had all sorts of cool ideas in my brain about how I’d like this new blog to be, but I have a tendency to think big and have cool ideas, yet lack on the implementation side of things.
So let’s see how this one goes!
I was talking to this old friend of mine one day and it was just one of those really good conversations. Everything was flowing, we were on the same wavelength, we were laughing and having a good conversation about nothing and everything! When I hung up the phone, a wave of gratitude came over me for her friendship and presence in my life.
